Hidden Mountain House — 2-Day Mountain Escape, St. Catherine
The experience.
Two days deep in the mountains of St. Catherine: hiking, Bedouin hospitality, a hidden mountain house, a natural rock pool, simsimiyya and a sky full of stars.
Leave Dahab in the morning and spend two days slowing down in the mountains and valleys of St. Catherine.
DAY 1 Meet at Sinai Market in Dahab at 7:00 AM and leave at 7:30 AM with a light Egyptian breakfast on the way. Arrive at camp for a short rest and Bedouin hospitality, then begin an easy-to-moderate hike through the mountains and valleys. Reach the Hidden Mountain House around midday, enjoy Bedouin hospitality and lunch, take time to rest, try traditional dress, then join a silent walk at golden hour. In the evening, enjoy a live simsimiyya gathering and stargazing far from city lights.
DAY 2 Start with breakfast, then head to a natural rock pool in the mountains. Begin the walk back through the valleys, stop for lunch, take a short rock-scrambling session, return to camp, and head back to Dahab in the evening.
LEVEL Easy to moderate. Beginners are welcome. Minimum age: 15.
GROUP 4 to 10 guests. The experience runs whenever a group of 4 or more is ready.
PRICE $149 per person. Egyptian residents can pay the equivalent in EGP.
INCLUDED Transport from and to Dahab, local licensed guidance, water, breakfast, lunch, Bedouin hospitality, and an overnight stay.
WHAT TO BRING Comfortable shoes, hat, sunscreen, light jacket, sunglasses, swimwear, ID, power bank, and a sleeping bag if you prefer to bring one.
